| About "Still And Again" Lydia Greene has been having dreams. Although they make no sense, she is haunted by them nightly. Then, when she meets a mysterious young woman, she feels instantly "connected," but she doesn't understand why. As her friendship with Amelia grows, her dreams become more vivid...and more frightening. But why do the dreams and Amelia seem to be connected? The novel is loosely based around the following original poem: "To Sip Of Lethe" O’ send me down to dreamless slumb’ring with no colours dark nor grey, Clouded consciousness not numb’ring this nor any yesterday. Take ‘way the tides of oceans cross’d, lay still the storms upon this sea. Calm gentle waves and vessels toss’d save none ‘twere shared, my love, with thee. Mem’ry abate to radiant Hope, as dew to early light must yield, And in that mourning, fear shall grope; and desperation, Life shall wield. O’ let me drift among this tempest, finding shelter in delusion— For if in waking, I’ve no rest, my dreams shall be my resolution. 26 February 1995 Copyright Lindseye Greye all rights reserved |
| Are you wondering about the background on this page?? It is from my favorite VanGogh work, "Blackbirds." I sampled a portion to create the background. |
