This page features original
artwork and photographs.   I
only began painting and
drawing in the summer of
2000, but I have found it to
be a therapeutic means of
expressing myself and
relaxing at the same time.
Even so, my first love remains
photography.  More
photographic works are
displayed at
PictureTrail.com
"Embracing The Moon"
2000
One of my first attempts at oil pastels.  This is an
illustration for the
essay of the same name.
"River to Nowhere"
2000
colored pencil
"Daylight Savings"
2000
Also an attempt at illustration for the
poem of the same title (scroll down on
the linked page to read poem.)
"Dream Of Souls"
2001
oil pastel illustration
"Moonscape"
Fall, 2000
This photograph of a full moon with swirling clouds was taken with an
extended exposure time and fill flash.  The amber tones in the
foreground were enhanced by lighting on a nearby building.
The photos to the left and below were
taken at the "Fountain Of Faith" in
Falls Church, Virginia.  I had arrived
early in the morning to shoot the
statues before the fountains came on,
but the waterworks started just as I
finished setting up.  As it turned out,
the fountains made beautiful
"backdrops" (no pun intended <g>) and
the reflections from the water on the
statues leant definition to their beauty.

Incidentally, I highly recommend
visiting this memorial to anyone
travelling or living in the Washington,
DC area.
"Mother's Arms"
1993
"Sisters and Friends"
1993
I think most people
like to go to the
beach when it is
sunny and warm, but
my favorite time to
visit the ocean is
winter.  These photos
were taken in West
Palm Beach in
January.  I love the
mild colors and the
cool calmness of
these scenes.
"Sunset on the 13th Hole"
Also taken in Florida, this photo is of the view from our condo at
Sawgrass Marriott resort in Ponte Vedra Beach.  The band I was in
at the time, "Alcazar," was playing at the nightclub while the
resort was hosting The Players' Championship.
